Leather Accessories for Coffee Preparation
To extend the tactile and visual language of youn and siji, we developed accessories that share the same care in material, construction and use.

The compact tamping mat is made from fine calfskin leather. It can be placed freely on the counter and serves both as a working surface and as a subtle platform to present the tamper or portafilter when not in use. Unlike silicone, which quickly collects marks from spouts, grounds and pressure and tends to lose its appearance over time, leather develops patina. Similar to a well-used tool handle or an old handbag, what shows isn’t wear, it’s character. A kind of elegance that only time and experience know how to put together.

The leather portafilter handle adds a new tactile dimension to the coffee-making process. As an extension to the existing walnut, beech and maple options, it offers a quieter feel and a warm, direct contact with the hand.
These are not just accessories, but a collage which is meant to be used, not only displayed.
