Caring for your RK Bookmark Pen – This pen is made of raw aluminum, polished by hand, and left untouched: no coating, no protective layer so that it can age gracefully. With time, your gestures will leave a trace. A patina will form but if you prefer to restore its original shine at any point, you can simply polish it again, as aluminium is endlessly restorable.

After many tests, we chose the Pilot RFN-GG-F fine-tip, refillable ballpoint pen refill. It’s precise, smooth and delivers a fine consistent line. Still, we made a small intervention: the standard cartridge was too long for the proportions we believe this bookmark pen needs to have, so we shortened it, exactly 24mm.
When it’s time to replace the cartridge, the process is simple. Use the old refill as your guide: line the new one up beside it, mark the difference, and cut. A standard 3mm hex key will give you access to the refill chamber.
