This furniture collection, commissioned by Tobias Petri for the Föppl Villa in Münsing, is inspired by the simplicity and raw construction of Gerrit Rietveld’s Crate Chair from 1934.
The Föppl Collection can be seen as an antithesis to today’s complex and ornate furniture trend. Instead, carefully selected wood is calibrated to precise planks and crafted into a simple, yet comfortable, geometry. Hand finishes, ranging from raw wood to lacquered surfaces and even carbonization with fire, add an extra layer of refinement to each piece. This collection is designed to stand the test of time, to be passed down from generation to generation. It’s a collection that speaks our core values, prioritizing durability over short lifespan, simplicity, and quality craftsmanship.
It can be used both indoors and outdoors.
